Sky Red Wine Glasses, 6 Pcs.
By Georg Jensen
Located in New York, NY
How beautiful wine is served is a big part of its enjoyment so give a good red wine the respect it deserves with these elegant contemporary lead-free crystal glasses. Perfectly balanced, they sit comfortably in the hand whilst the softly curved shape adds a sculptural edge to the table setting, especially when paired with a matching carafe from the Sky collection. French-born designer Aurelian Barbry always aims to create pieces that are beautiful to look at but which also address practicality and have a real purpose in someone’s home. His Sky collection of table and barware for Georg Jensen is a stylish and very successful example of his skills. The set of six red wine glasses...

Conterporary "White Whale" oak cabinet
Located in Dolné Sľažany, SK
I wanted to create something that would not look like what it is at first glance. With this idea, a cabinet was created with no flat outer surfaces. Each of the shapes has some type of curvature. I took care that all these shapes were gradually processed by hand, using traditional methods and traditional tools. The cabinet body was constructed from European Oak, the drawers are made of maple wood and the outer surface of the drawers consists of several hand-sanded layers of sealants with a main layer of polished polyurethane paint. The internal shapes of the side drawers have a distinctive structure due to the manual machining of carving chisels. With respect to preserving the main idea, the legs are also round in shape, while the elliptical leg is turned from cherry wood and the spherical legs are welded from steel. The surfaces are also made of polyurethane paint. To keep the concept it was essential, that all the mechanisms for pulling out the drawers are hidden and therefore they are designed from the bottom of the drawers. The other components of the cabinet are made of aluminum (rear wall) and stainless steel (connecting elements). The whole implementation process from the design to the final alignment of the drawers took more than a year and more than 1000 hours. "White Whale...
