Antique Afghan Rug with Rusty Red Field
About the Item
The rusty-red field of this well-woven Central Asian tribal piece shows six columns of connected Tekke tribal guls, with chemche minor guls placed between. Similar toned border with rayed and flattened octagons bearing central crosses. Narrow elems (extra end panels with hooked, oblique bars. All wool construction. Guls quartered in ecru and burnt salmon. Good condition.
