Beautiful Antique Afghan Rug with Ecru Field, Circa 1930's

About the Item

This well-woven tribal piece, probably east Caspian Yomud work, shows an ecru field with three coordinated floating columns of flattened Kepse guls, within a cream curled leaf main border, and cream reversing flying “eagle” elemis (extra end panels). An ingenious use of all traditional design elements to make an innovative whole. Good quality wool, wool foundation. Good condition. Rug Size 8'3x12'4
