Antique Chinese Peking Rug with a Sand Field and Blue Border
About the Item
The sandy beige open field is edged by an inner similarly toned bands whose stems and flowers extend into the field. “Coins” adorn this inner border. The wider medium blue main border shows paeonies in wiry black stems. Plain beige outermost surround. A study in blues and beige, with almost o other tones employed. The light field appears visually larger. Moderate weave on cotton, good condition.
