About the Item

Berber rugs and carpets are mainly made in Morocco, Tunesia and Algeria. Largest producer are the tribal and nomadic Berber people of Morocco. Different areas produce very beautiful works of art. This rug was made in a village in the Atlas Mountains, Northeast of Marrakech. The wool from this region is well known for its fine quality and luster.
