About the Item

Berber rugs and carpets are mainly made in Morocco, Tunesia and Algeria. Largest producer are the tribal and nomadic Berber people of Morocco. Different areas produce very beautiful works of art. This rug was made in a village in the Atlas Mountains, Southeast of the towns of Casablanca and Meknes. The wool from this region is well known for its fine quality and luster. Interior designers welcome. For this collection we use extremely fine wool, haptic like Merino or Cashmere. Due to the plush and long pile fibers, the rug will shed at the beginning. This is normal for rugs in this type of construction. Influence of North African Rugs on European Modern Art. These abstract designs had a great influence on European Modern Art.
