18th Century Willem IV Dutch Armchair

About the Item

A very beautiful 18th century Dutch chair from the time of Willem IV (b. 1711 - d. 1751) who ruled as Prince of Orange and Nassau and general hereditary stadtholder of the United Netherlands. Chair frame is in mahogany with spoon-back, with carved central back splat, graceful shepherd's crook arms and is supported on cabriole legs with carved scallop on knee and resting on raised padded feet. Upholstered slip seat is in an old serviceable green brocade that is easy to change. Note: You should always request a shipping quote.
