English Georgian Hepplewhite Carved Mahogany Armchair of Bold Proportions
About the Item
Ref. #4556. English Georgian Hepplewhite mahogany armchair of bold proportions, with wheatsheaf and ribbon carving to the back, and carving to the graceful arms. The arched top rail and wide pierced carved central splat are well executed as one would expect when the cabinetmaker chose such fine dense mahogany to work with. This 24" wide armchair has a slip seat and would make a fine desk chair, occasional chair or dining chair. This chair has been polished and checked over in our workshop so it is ready to be used on a daily basis. Circa 1810.
