About the Item
A pair of Austrian Biedermeier period bergère armchairs from the 19th century, with carved looping arms, saber legs and new upholstery. Created in Austria during the Biedermeier period in the 19th century, each of this pair of armchairs features a wraparound back connected to two exquisite looping arms with carved scrolling extremities. The chairs have been newly reupholstered with a linen double welt fabric whose neutral tones compliments the warmth of the walnut wood beautifully. The ensemble is raised on four saber legs. With their comfortable design, elegant lines and warm patina, this pair of handsome Austrian Biedermeier armchairs from the 19th century will bring a stylish presence to any home, particularly placed in a living room, bedroom or study.
