Period English Well-Patinated Country Chair
About the Item
A beautifully patinated very early, period, country armchair. The oak is worn in a very desirable way, the arm fronts are lightened by the wear. The chair has a comfortably sized string seat, good height, and the seat is in strong condition although shows wear from age. Seats are usually cushion-covered. All the turnings are very fine country hand-turned. The age distress is very nice, quite appropriate to the chair.
