Solid elm frames with original rush seats.
This wonderful pair of Art Nouveau Brabant armchairs by Willem Penaat is in very good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
Willem Penaat was inspired by 17th century and 18th century simple Dutch farmhouse furniture when he designed his version of the so-called Brabant farmers chair in 1899.
