About the Item

Magnificent and ultra rare Arts & Crafts Rationalist armoire or wardrobe. Design by Willem Penaat for De Woning Amsterdam. Striking Dutch design from the 1900s. Solid oak with original brass handles on doors and drawers. The brass handles were designed by the famous Dutch designer Jan Eisenloeffel. Three original wooden shelves adjustable in height. This wonderful Arts & Crafts Rationalist armoire or wardrobe by Willem Penaat is in very good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. We will ship this museum piece dismantled in a wooden crate for safe transport when purchased by overseas buyers!
