VIENNA SECESSIONIST BENTWOOD ARM CHAIR BY JACOB AND JOSEF KOHN Stamped to the underside "J&J KOHN / WSETIN, AUSTRIA" Item # 906ANW08L A fine and rare Vienna Secessionist maroon stained bentwood arm chair executed and stamped by the firm of Jacob & Josef Kohn, it is a striking piece with a free-flowing form. The chair is finished in a caramel top-grain leather with tacked brass buttons surrounding and rests over turned tapering legs with small ball feet. The underside of the chair is stamped in black ink (behind the front seat rail) "J&J KOHN / WSETIN, AUSTRIA". Note, we may still have the matching arm chair and settee to this chair available - both are without upholstery and ready new fabrics. Measurements: 36 1/2" H x 19" H to seat x 22 1/2" D x 23" W Condition Report: Heavily worn surface with loss to finish and some blistering and peeling to the finish; upholstery is fresh and in overall good condition with some minor gapping between the back panels and the back of the chair; sturdy, strong and stable throughout.
