Vintage 1950s Lemon Yellow DAX Chair Charles+Ray Eames Zenith Herman Miller

About the Item

An extremely clean museum quality example. Made between 1951-1952, these are generally referred to as, '2nd generation.' These were also shipped from the Venice Eames Office like the 1st iterations of the design. This chair was also produced from the original mold just without a rope around the edge. The color is a slightly desaturated lemon yellow and is slightly translucent. This chair has never been taken apart. The original owner died last year at the age of 100. This chair was found among a bedroom at the estate, which was solely furnished in yellow. Will be disassembled for shipping unless otherwise instructed.
