Incredible set of five collectible 'Skaala' lounge armchairs by Yrjo¨ Kukkapuro for Avarte, made in Finland, circa 1970. Featuring original burgundy red leather seat cushions, birch and tubular steel frames with sleigh legs capped with rubber feet. *NOTE*, we have sold 2 chairs, so we have 3 left at this time. This listing is priced individually. There is so much that make these chairs great. First, the birch wood backs and arms are so cool - making the chairs excellent to float within a room where the backs can be seen. Consider using as office guest chairs, the view of the wood backs are a great way to set a great first impression when someone enters your office. Second, the tubular chrome frames with sleigh legs are amazingly stylish. The shape is very 1970s but also works great with 1980s Postmodern and Memphis styles which are so popular right now with interior designers. Also lightweight, they are easy to grab and move - and they have arm hooks so that you can link them together if you so wish. One pair of chairs have a tubular holder, could possibly be used for a flag, thin fishing pole, or anything else that you can conjure up. Third, the soft and quality burgundy leather seats perfectly finish off the look on this set of comfortable and stylish lounge armchairs.
