Pair of French 19th Century Louis XV Style Giltwood Armchairs
About the Item
A most elegant pair of French 19th century Louis XV st. giltwood "Bergères À Oreilles" armchairs. Each wing back arm chair is raised by elegant cabriole legs decorated with a fine carved scrolled fillet which extends along the scalloped shaped frieze. The frieze are centered by a lovely foliate reserves. Each upholstered arm support displays a lovely scrolled design. A carved fluted border extends up the upholstered back supports and wings to a beautiful richly carved floral design at the top.
