About the Item

Ogdens of Manchester, in the style Dr Christopher Dresser. Aesthetic Movement ebonized and parcel gilt walnut nursing chair, with a carved lotus flower, and ring-turned legs with original brass and ceramic casters, the casters stamped with a Patent Office mark for 25th March 1875. Stamped Ogden Manchester. The top rail and seat have been professionally re-upholstered in a quality hide.
