19th Century French Louis XV Walnut Petite Chaise Lounge
About the Item
19th Century French Louis XV walnut petite chaise lounge is the perfect choice for adding incredible French flair in a diminutive, cozy spot! Sculpted from sumptuous French walnut, the framework exhibits the naturalistic, asymmetrical scrollwork characteristic of the genre, with carved shell and foliates providing visual allure from the crown to the escargots on the feet. Acanthus plumes, wildflowers and foliate sprays dominate the carved relief work, all made more exquisite from being sculpted out of the beautiful wood. Upholstery is a fine, tightly knit damascene, and is in very good condition, with a neutral color that makes this a good candidate to place in the home and enjoy for the rest of your life!
