Antique Set 4 Spanish Polychrome Dining Chairs Giltwood Green Painted Folk Art
About the Item
A stunning set of four Andalusian ladderback dining chairs in original Polychrome dark green and old gold with rush seats – a stunning combination of colours with the most appealing patina. Each chair features a lovely carved flower on the headrest flanked by spired finials, and carved and gilded detailing on the ladders and legs.
The rush seats are original, and all four chairs are in good sturdy condition.
There are a couple of losses to the wood decoration, which are not particularly noticeable unless the chairs are lined up together.
One of the chairs has a period replacement of two stretchers and a period repair of the headrest – please see the last image showing a photo of both.
