About the Item
Vintage dinner or side chair 'Safari' from the furniture system 'Bogo' designed by the Italian architect and designer Carlo Bartoli for the high-end furniture company Rossi Di Albizzate
Produced in the late 1970s and in the 1980s
Bogo dinner chair features an internal frame, made of multilayered wood and elastic belts on the seat, covered with padding in polyurethane foams with different densities. The seat has the special mattress-type cushion in Dacron 2 with quilted, sheathed padding, fastened to the structure with removable zips, so the cushions' covering can be easily removed to be cleaned or changed.
The chair is completely upholstered with premium lambskin leather and suede of Rossi di Albizzate whose collection of materials was known for superior quality. The brown colour of the leather is complemented with a warm shade of beige.
The condition of the chair is very good. The suede cushion is with minimal traces of cosmetic wear. The brown leather has just a few tear marks (as seen in detailed photos), apart from that leather is very clean, without the usual age patina typical for used vintage leather.
The shipping cost is for the cheapest delivery option, Standard Delivery. Due to weight and size limits for Standard delivery, the chair will bi disassembled and shipped in two boxes. Please inquire in advance for other delivery options.

Carlo Bartoli
Carlo Bartoli, born in Milan in 1931, is an Italian architect and designer. He created many successful works, such as the Gaia armchair, included in the permanent design collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Design Museum of the Milan Triennale. Bartoli was awarded the ADI Compasso d'Oro for Lifetime Achievement.
