About the Item
A pair of sculptural, swiveling lounge chairs. Base of black cast aluminium, seat shell of birch plywood stained in black. Damper mechanism under the seat. Upholstered with high-end quality black leather. Very comfortable seat.
Design Pentti Hakala for Avate Finland. In very good condition! I
Since graduating from the University of Art & Design, Helsinki, in 1982, interior architect and designer Pentti Hakala has been designing furniture for several different manufacturers, such as Avarte, Inno, Lepoproduct, Martela, Korhonen and Mobel. He has won numerous grants and awards, and is now receiving the Finnish State Artist's Pension.
