Danish 1940s Large Banana Form Curved Sofa in Floral Fabric
About the Item
Beautiful and very elegant 1940s large Size curved three-seat sofa with channeled backrest. The sofa has springs in the seat and the backrest and the beechwood frame is solid and sturdy. The original wool fabric is showing minor wear but is in still clean usable condition. These increasingly sought after late deco early midcentury designed sofas are great anchor pieces for the living room with alluring low swung very organic and in this case taller and more elegant legs. Often these curved sofas had short block legs and the taller more elegant legs in this case point to a production date closer to 1950. Overall very good condition.
We are able to offer re-upholstery services for this sofa and are able to re-upholster any fabric including shearling or lambswool at very competitive prices.
