About the Item

Beautiful and authentic banana sofa made in Denmark in the 1940s by a Danish cabinetmaker. This voluptuous sofa is based on a solid construction of round shapes and curvaceous lines. The seating area and the backrest are organically shaped and together with the absence of strict angles, the sofa attains a sculptural expression. The piece shows traits of traditional furniture yet also has a contemporary touch. The defined lines that characterize Danish design curve inward in this sofa, embracing and comforting you. The corpus rests on 6 rounded legs in solid oak. This simple yet playful design offers a seat to three people. We have had the sofa reupholstered in light natural sheepskin.
