About the Item

Ananta Class is an informal and versatile modular range that allows endless combinations of the independent backrests and bases available in 80, 120, 160, 200 and 240 cm lengths. The collection, whose very name evokes the idea of infinity, is based on the idea of simplified construction: free from the constraints of armrests and backrests, the seating can be arranged to suit individual needs. It is completed with a side table available in two sizes. The black chrome rest holds up a table top available either in walnut veneer or regenerated leather. The line offers a new, individualistic, modern way of shaping things to fit people’s needs. Fully removable covers. Born in 1953 he left formal education and began, almost by chance, his experience in the field of the padded furniture. Fascinated by the world that surrounded him, he eagerly devoted himself to researching building forms and techniques which have borne fruit for the companies in which he worked. In 1991 he opened his studio as an independent designer and in 1993 he came across Saba Italia. New challenges and new incentives lead to the creation of the “nomad sofa”: Taos, Ananta, Limes, Nesting, Pixel. Creations that were born from reflection of new desires that encourage us to live in a less formal way, equipped with systems that enable change with simple gestures, by playing with shapes. Structure: In wood padded with variable-density polyurethane foam (21IP, 25P, 30P e 40IP), covered with velfodera on a resin-coated backing 200 gr/sqm. The seat is sprung with elastic straps reinforced with polypropylene. Feet: The bases have feet in ABS, while the feet of the backs are in Black nickel finish. Padding: The back cushions are padded with washed and sterilized goose down and 100% polyester fiber divided into sections. Ananta Class proposes two kinds of seats: feather and polyurethane foam versions. Feather version: The seat cushions are filled with washed and sterilized goose feather divided into sections and covered with white 100% cotton fabric with variable-density polyurethane foam (30IP, 35IM). Foam version: The seat cushions are padded with variable-density polyurethane foam (30IP, 25IM), covered with fine velvet coupled with dacron 380 gr/sqm.
