Pair of Stunning Victorian Poker Work Hall Chairs Lion Armorial Crested Backs

We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning pair of original Victorian Poker work hall chairs depicting Regency Armorial Crested Lions A very good looking well made and decorative pair of chairs, they have some original finish left in the crevasses of the legs, the backs are what’s called Poker work and depict carved Lions in the Regal Armorial Crest pose. The chairs are hand carved from solid walnut, the timber patina is glorious from every angle We have cleaned waxed and polished them from every angle, the frames have been checked and secured as required they are in lovely period order throughout with lots of patina marks consummate with genuine age and honest use Dimensions Height 105cm Width 49cm Depth 52cm Seat height 49.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
