Rare 19th Century Broad Arm Windsor Armchair
About the Item
A rare 19th century broad arm ash and elm windsor armchair of exceptional quality, finely hand carved with gorgeously rich patination and grain. The high hoop back with central, shaped fret cut back splat with lovely scroll motif detail flanked with an arrangement of spindles and ring turned supports. Raised over out swept scroll arms of broad proportions above a beautifully well figured saddle shaped seat supported on out swept, elegant ring and baluster turned legs united with H stretcher, terminating on stylised arrow foot.
