Buffet in Oak with Mirrored Top and Carvings of Fruit and Foliage, Scandinavia

About the Item

A lovely buffet in oak with a mirrored top over a cabinet with two drawers and two doors. Mirror frame has a split-pediment top with turned center finial and is flanked by fluted columns, with sconces for candles. The cabinet has convex fluted drawer fronts with fluted columns on the base. On the panels of each of the doors is a carved ribboned arrangement that includes fruits & foliage. Buffet rests on the original bun feet and comes with original key plates, working locks and one key. Cabinet opens to three shelves with a center divider. Scandinavian, likely Danish, circa 1880.
