19th Century Chinese Antique Armoire with Burl Wood Panels and Brass Hardware

About the Item

An antique armoire with burl wood panels and original brass hardware from 19th century China. This Chinese antique armoire was made with inset burl wood panels and brass hardware. The armoire adopts a traditional Chinese shape with a rectangular shape and round medallions. The upper section is made of two doors opening thanks to a large brass medallion with two handles, and round brass hinges. The lower section mimics and adapts, on a smaller scale, this design. Each door is decorated with inset burl wood panels made of contrasting wood grain. The doors open to reveal inner shelves and hidden drawers. This Chinese 19th century armoire with burl wood panels and original brass hardware would be an exotic item in most homes, especially in a dining room, office or perhaps a bedroom.
