Chinese Qing Dynasty 19th Century Cabinet with Original Black Lacquer Finish
About the Item
A Chinese Qing Dynasty period cabinet from the 19th century, with original black lacquer and faint hand-painted décor. Created in China during the Qing Dynasty period in the 19th century, this wooden cabinet features a linear silhouette perfectly complimented by its original black lacquer finish. The façade showcases a faint hand-painted décor adorning the doors while the lower section presents scrolling floral motifs and a meander frieze. The doors open thanks to a brass lock to reveal inner shelves and a lower compartment concealed under a removable panel. The bottom part is made of two drawers fitted with ring pulls on circular plates. The sides and back are made of simply recessed panels.
