About the Item
This piece is the latest iteration of colección estudio’s inaugural collection, molinillos. It is a result from the studio’s exploration of the cultural importance of
craftsmanship in Mexico.
This piece’s multiple legs were crafted through a meticulous woodturning technique inspired by the molinillo, a common mexican tool used for blending
chocolate into milk.
Founded in 2014 by Montserrat Castañón, Ángulo Cero was born as a space to think about design from an artistic perspective. Its curatorial approach inclines towards the experimentation of materials and formal languages, commissioning collections for a sophisticated market inside and outside of Mexico.
