Elegant Napoleon III Meuble D'Appui in Rosewood marquetry opening a door with a medallion with a floral motif.
Oval top capped by a black veined white marble top. Rich ornamentation of finely chiseled gilt bronze.
Furniture attributed to Gervais Durand, we find the bronze models and the treatment of floral marquetry in rosewood on other Meuble D'Appui from the prestigious Parisian cabinetmaker of the 19th century.
