Russian 19th Century 1st Empire Period Mahogany, Ebony and Ormolu Cabinet

About the Item

An exceptional Russian 19th century 1st Empire period Mahogany, Ebony, and ormolu cabinet. The two door cabinet is raised by elegant feet below the straight mottled base. At the center are the two doors centered by most decorative diamond shaped reserves with ormolu plaques of beautiful maidens holding vessels set on Mahogany backgrounds and framed within a delicate Coeur de Rai ormolu border. The doors open to reveal two shelves and all original hardware. The French polish sides and top showcase the beautiful warm wood grain with the top displaying a unique and most decorative stepped design adorned with remarkable ormolu rosettes.
