A Very Fine Pair of Mid 20th Century Side Cabinets
About the Item
A very fine pair of mid 20th Century mahogany side cabinets, with beautifully carved detail throughout and a deeply rich patina. The moulded and shaped top with concave sides, framed with egg and dart beaded edge raised over two short drawers with reeded detail and ornate brass pulls, flanked with acanthus and scroll detail. The two panelled doors below with elaborate foliate motif cabochons and decorative brass pulls open to reveal shelved interior. The two columns to the sides with stunning rams head mask, acanthus and garlands of bell husks motif detail, supported on shaped platform base with egg and dart detail, terminating on tapering foot with foliate detail.
