Superb quality old American mahogany "New England Block Front" Chippendale style chest on chest, circa 1910-1915. Please note hand dove-tailed, oak- lined drawers and original "Willow" or Chippendale Style brasses. Also, please note hand-carved concave shell in upper drawer. This piece is beautifully hand made, not manufactured, and is a wonderful representation of a period style.

With superlative marquetry inlays of satinwood quarter fans on the perimeter of each drawer as well as "Adam" style satinwood and ebony fan escutcheons, to the delicate checkered inlay on the cornice frieze, this Chest on Chest has it all. Please note that this is a superior made Chest on Chest having elm drawer linings versus the traditional oak or deal (pine) all standing upon handsome ogee feet. Please note the substantial number of images showing the great condition of this piece and the hand dovetailed top signifying the early Georgian date when this was done.
