Rare Burr Yew Wood Military Campaign Gentleman's Dressing Table Chest of Drawers
About the Item
We are delighted to offer this rare vintage burr yew wood military campaign gentleman’s compendium
This piece is based on a Victorian Military Campaign Gentleman’s dressing table. You would have drawers for folded linens, a cupboard section for a wash bowl and then the mirror on top, chaps could basically dress for battle, have a strip down wash and shave etc. This is a more modern example of course in that style, it’s a good usable piece of furniture for living or bedroom setting
Condition wise we have deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished it. The top has some patina marks, it can be restored for the trade price which would be around £200 if the new owner wishes, I have left it as it is because with campaign furniture the wear usually tells a story
