About the Item
This antique rococo large oak chest of drawers features a serpentine front, brass hardware pulls and is raised on lovely cabriolet feet.
The newer, professionally applied and layered gray painted finish is gently scraped and distressed, revealing the natural wood below while complimenting the age and curved lines of the chest.
This dresser has been restored, case is sturdy and drawers are in working order.
Any scratches, cracks, dings, or age related separation (in particular drawer bottoms) are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this large oak chest of four drawers.

- Painted Oak Chest of Four DrawersLocated in Baltimore, MDWhat an extraordinary chest of drawers! The top is plain with a bullnose edge and the sides are nicely paneled. The front corners of the case are boldly reeded and toward the top a sprig of lily of the valley is delicately carved inside the reed. Above this is a massive scrolled acanthus leaf corbel, appearing to support the top. The drawers are more or less equal in depth with faux panels created by an applied mitered molding with a bead running round the inside.
