Custom Mid Century Walnut Credenza by Creative Woodwork Co., NYC

About the Item

Custom Midcentury Walnut Credenza, handmade by George Cohen for his workshop, the Creative Woodwork Company of New York City, circa 1960s. It offers a voluminous amount of storage. The bifold doors open to reveal two adjustable shelves and one fixed shelf on the left side. It is a versatile piece and can be used in a living area as a credenza, cabinet, or bar, or in a bedroom as a chest or dresser. George Cohen's work appears to be influenced by the work of Florence Knoll (the stylish leather pull) and Jens Risom (the floating architectural base). It is currently being refinished. The price noted INCLUDE refinishing. It is constructed of solid walnut, except for the original top which is a low maintenance walnut grained plastic veneer. If you prefer a more luxury top, we could have a white marble top made for it for $500 extra.
