19th Century French Louis XIII Style Barley Twist Oak Desk

About the Item

Diminutive 19th century French oak writing table or desk. Featuring a single drawer case supported by carved barley twist legs conjoined by an H-shaped stretcher. The oak top has a lovely aged patina and fading that adds to its character and charm. The drawer has a bronze pull with a double wreath swag motif. The bottom of the desk measures 23 inches from the floor and the legs are decorated with carved rosettes on the block feet. Small enough for multiple applications.
