Original French Macassar Art Deco Partners Desk

About the Item

Original French Art Deco desk in spectacular book-matched Macassar wood. These high-quality, streamline-style, classic desks do not often come around. This one has everything. Great drawers, original keys, original brass drawer pulls, storage, rounded edges (kind of bull nose edge style), and one side or front area are perfect for a small display or bookshelf. The quality of the wood is without comparison or flaws; the color is rich, deep brown (with hints of rosewood and black. This is the kind of color and grain you only find on the best French Art Deco pieces made during that golden era of 1925-1930. What some people call the “high point” of the Art Deco period. The last time I had a Macassar partner’s desk like this was 15 years ago, and not near the quality of this piece. The size is perfect, handy, and can be used like any professional office desk. It will undoubtedly set the tone for your most important discussions and negotiations.
