Early 19th Century Swedish Folk Art Country Secretary Desk

About the Item

Northern Swedish folk art secretary desk from the early 19th century, 1810 to 1820. The secretary is a genuine Swedish country house furniture in pine. The surface is very distressed and the wood and its structure shines trough the paint. The surface of this furniture sets it apart and gives that antique character that can’t be replicated. A secretary is also a multipurpose furniture with both a desk top as well as storage underneath and in the interior. So it fits all types of purposes in addition to being an interior design element. Healthy and solid frame. The interior has small drawers and shelves behind the desk top. The doors underneath the desk have slightly shrunk as the wood has dried so there’s a small gap between the doors. Height to desk top is 72 cm. The depth and width are measured along the floor and includes the base.
