English Sideboard Console of Inlaid Flame Mahogany from the Regency Period

About the Item

A handsome English sideboard server (or serving console) from the Regency period, featuring a bowed moulded top, over an inlaid flame mahogany frieze with two left-facing cabinet drawers, bowed middle large drawer, and two right-facing cabinet drawers, each drawer with brass pulls. The top and frieze with fine inlay stringing. The whole set upon six tapering legs. The legs with rolling brass casters.

    This is a superb antique English Regency flame mahogany shaped serpentine bowfront sideboard, Circa 1820 in date. It is crossbanded, bordered with ebony lines and fitted with a central frieze drawer above a recessed arched apron drawer. It is flanked by two short drawers to one side and a cellarette drawer to the other. It has superb decorative brass foliate anthemion ring handles and is raised on elegant ring turned tapered legs. Fitted with working locks and keys. Add an elegant touch to a special place in your home with this superb antique sideboard.
