About the Item
Sideboard by the French designer René Jean Caillette (René Gabriel prize 1952).
Model "Sylvie" edited by Georges Charron in Rio rosewood and stainless steel.
Nice choice of leaves by its veining and its colour. Interior in lemon tree. With 4 drawers and 3 doors, one of which is without handle in "push and pull", the handles are in solid chromed brass.
Chrome plated curved legs with rosewood inlay. Shelves in each part. Luxurious manufacture by its noble materials and its design. Set in very good vintage condition. Exceptional piece of furniture.
From a complete René-Jean Caillette set of chairs, table and armoire, which is also presented in our gallery.
This model was presented at the "salon des arts ménagers" in 1961.
