About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this very rare George III mahogany sideboard from Ince Castle Saltash and restored in 1988 for Patricia Viscountess Boyd. A very rare find, i have included a picture of the sideboard in the bottom right-hand corner of the dining room, you can just see the left side of it, i have outlined the piece in red. It’s a fantastic piece, clearly after Chippendale with those square legs and hand carved floral details. The sideboard internally has been amended to house bottles and take cutlery naturally, all this can be removed should the new owners wish. The piece has patina marks from honest use and genuine age, some on the top, i can have it French polished for cost price should the new owners wish. Dimensions: Height 93cm Width 165cm Depth 77.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses. Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
