Antique Lacquer Enamel Gilt Coromandel Armoire or Wedding Cabinet

About the Item

The handcrafting, gilt painting and sculptural elements make this cabinet somewhat breathtaking in different lights. The kimono-clad figures are graceful and the gold background palette set in a garden creates a tranquil and elegant scene. The drawings of birds perched on branches in trees also creates a calmness and visual center of interest that may cause the observer to be seated and just take in the artwork. The two drawers and the space inside combine to make this cabinet functional as well as beautiful. This piece came from an estate auction several years ago, and the competition was quite spirited, but it is offered here at a reasonable price. We can assist with local delivery.
