    This grand antique cabinet is a 19th century French armoire crafted in the style of Renaissance Revival furniture. The large wardrobe has a clean-lined rectangular form surmounted by a molded and dentil cornice and raised upon short, straight legs. The cabinet is simply decorated with paneled sides and two front doors inset with decorative carvings and mesh screens. Each of the lower panels is beautifully carved in low relief with an ornate oil lamp emitting tendrils of smoke atop a spray of hanging grapes, fruiting branches, and other foliate scrollwork.
