Vintage Elm Wood Compound Two-Part Wedding Wardrobe with Doors and Drawers

About the Item

A large vintage elm compound two-part wedding wardrobe, with two sets of double doors, lower drawers and brass hardware. This mid-20th-century large Chinese elm wedding wardrobe beautifully marries traditional design with functional elegance. The piece is composed of two parts: an upper cabinet with double doors for easily accessible storage and a larger lower section that offers ample space for a variety of storage needs. The lower double doors, featuring a distinctive medallion face plate with pierced knobs and leaf pulls, open to two spacious shelves. Additionally, the wardrobe is equipped with five drawers, arranged in a three-over-two configuration, providing extra storage for clothing, linens, or personal items. Standing on four sturdy legs, accented with an apron and spandrels, this wardrobe is enhanced by the golden patina of its brass hinges, which beautifully complements the warm tones of the elm wood. Measuring 69 inches for the lower section and 29.5 inches for the upper part, this vintage piece is not only a testament to Chinese craftsmanship but also a versatile addition to contemporary homes. Perfect for use in a bedroom or living room, it adds a touch of elegance while offering practical storage solutions. Its blend of aesthetic appeal and functionality makes it an ideal choice for anyone looking to incorporate a piece of Chinese heritage into their home decor.
