Charlotte Perriand Inspired Coffee Table in Solid White Oak by Boyd & Allister
About the Item
This Charlotte Perriand inspired coffee table in white oak is inspired by her iconic ‘Forme Libre’ dining table. We created a free form shape for the top with gentle curves and then hand cut the back cut edge detail. The base of the table picks up the same elements as the ‘Forme Libre’ with two post legs coupled with the single rounded pillar on the opposing side. We draw attention to the joints in the table top with splines seen in the edges. The table seen in the pictures above is a lightly bleached white white oak but the table can be made in a variety of domestic hardwoods. We use a durable low sheen spray finish for our coffee tables to prevent unwanted rings from mugs but if an oil and wax is preferred please let us know.

Boyd & Allister is a custom furniture studio located in Santa Fe, New Mexico. We have been hand making furniture for designers and architects around the country since 2010. We custom make each piece using traditional joinery methods and hand select each piece of wood. We source our wood from small sawyers around the country who bring the same level of care to their craft as we bring to ours. Many of our designs are inspired by mid century masters; timeless with clean lines, allowing the beauty of the wood to shine.
