19th century, French Louis XV style, lacquered wood desk
This elegant lacquered wooden desk was made in France between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century in the Louis XV style. The floor is moved and lined in leather, in good condition, is bordered by a slightly protruding bronze band, useful to not let slip away papers and documents resting on top.
The underlay is lacquered in black and decorated with very delicate cineseria designs in the polychrome used. The locks of the three drawers, the handles and the decorations on the pillars of the legs are in gilded bronze finely chiseled with rocaille motifs particulate and asymmetrical that give charm to the furniture.
The four legs, moved and arched, and ending with golden bronze tip, bring gracefulness to the desk. The pleasing proportions give this desk decoration and ease of insertion in any environment, both alongside antique and modern furnishings.
