Mid-18th Century Spanish Louis XIII Carved Walnut Library Console Table Desk

About the Item

Crafted in Spain circa 1760, the antique writing table stands on thick carved turned legs ending with bun feet, and embellished with an elegant rectangular box stretcher at the base. The tall table features two hand carved drawers across the front dressed with the original wooden knobs, over a large thick surface top made of one single plank of walnut. The masculine Louis XIII table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a warm and rich walnut patina. Versatile, the large table could be used in a study or library, as a center table in an entry, or as a console against a wall. Measures: 58" W x 30" D x 34.5" H.
