Sculptural Mid Century Dining Table of Cuban Mahogany and Plate Glass Ca. 1950's
About the Item
Rare sculptural dining table of cuban mahogany, and plate glass. The base is of solid Cuba mahogany, with a bevelled plate glass top. The wood base has been professionally refinished, the glass top is free of damage, but we are not convinced its is the original top. This piece has a very interesting back story, the original owner was a Cuban expat, who left Cuba when the revolution occurred
(1959), brining their personal belongings with them, including this spectacular table. We believe the table is by Giuseppe Scapinelli, however it is unsigned.

Top dimensions 72 W x 40 D inches.
